I look forward to meeting many of you at the Second Grade Orientation day on Monday, August 30th at 2:00 pm! Enjoy your last few precious days of summer!!

I am very excited to begin our journey together in Room 104! We are uncertain how our second grade year will start, but please trust that I will share information with you as soon as I have it.
If you need to get a hold of me during school hours you may reach me at 432-6956, ext. 5104. The best way you can reach me anytime is through email at mlavoie@londonderry.org.
You may also choose to write me a note and I will get back to you as
soon as possible. Please place all notes and lunch money in the clear
front pocket of your child's plastic homework folder that will be given
to them. I'm looking forward to an exciting year in Room 104! As we
kick off the new school year, there is always a lot of paperwork. Please
try to return all forms as quickly as possible. Thanks in advance for
your help with getting everything back to us.

am happy to supply!
- 2 large glue sticks
- 2 black Expo dry erase markers
- 1 box of Crayola crayons 24 pack
- 1 12-24 pack of Crayola colored pencils
- 1 hard plastic pencil box (see below)
- 1 box of tissues

neat and organized, any other extra supplies (markers, sharpeners, erasers, etc.) should be kept at home unless otherwise requested. Thank
you ahead of time for helping your child prepare for school!
*Donations of any size Ziploc bags (from snack to quart to
gallon), any size paper plates, napkins, and plastic forks or spoons are
always greatly appreciated and help to keep our classroom running
smoothly.
Language Arts
This year we
will be doing a meld of Reading and Writing Workshop as well as theme
based learning. We look forward to learning about topics like space, nocturnal
animals, penguins, rainforests, frogs, cowboys, fairy tales, and oceans just to name a few. Another exciting new addition this year to second grade is our new program called Fundations.
