The role of an elementary school Speech-Language Pathologist is to screen, evaluate, and service students with identified speech and language disorders. We address various aspects of receptive and expressive disorders which may include: semantics (language content, vocabulary, concepts), syntax/morphology (grammatical structures, sentence structure, verbal and written organization), phonology (intelligibility), memory, and pragmatics (social language).
