Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!
I am Heather Pike and I am beginning my 19th year as a speech-language pathologist here at North Londonderry Elementary School. I received my master's degree from Northeastern University and I maintain my national certification through the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association. My focus here at North School is on improving communication.
Speech: I work with student's on their articulation or production of sounds, which helps to improve speech intelligibility.
Language: I work with student's on both their understanding of language (receptive language) and production of language (expressive language).
Social Skills: I work with student's on improving their ability to use both verbal and nonverbal communication skills. Improving these skills will help improve overall communication between the speaker and the listener.
Fluency: I work with student's who stutter and have difficulty communicating using fluent speech.
Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns at [email protected]
I am looking forward to a great school year!
