Welcome to Londonderry Middle School!



I'm a special education teacher specializing in speech language disabilities at Londonderry Middle School. I service students in the 6th, 7th and 8th grade. I work with students in specialized language classes and reading classes that I co-teach with a speech language pathologist. I also help to support students in their core classes.

Classes

Each year I teach specialized language arts classes based upon the students and their needs. The Language Concepts classes are taught with the speech pathologists, Erin Lacharite and Leanne Rosenberg, and myself. This curriculum mixes Language Arts and Social Studies concepts together in a language rich environment. The classes evolve based upon the changing curriculum and the IEP needs of the students within the classes. They provide a unique opportunity to weave language and literacy goals with Social Studies concepts. Social skill development and technology are also integrated within the classroom.

I use the following programs and philosophies in my classes:
  • Visualizing and Verbalizing
  • Project Read Written Expression
  • Co-Writer Software (reads back as student types and gives spelling options)
  • Google Classroom
