- 7th grade Thursday, Sept. 9th 7:00 p.m.
- 6th grade Friday, Sept. 14th 7: 00 p.m.
- School pictures will be taken on Tuesday, Sept. 14th. More information to come.
- LMS Word Games Club will have its first meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 7th. Come join us for snacks and to see what our club is all about. Make sure you have a ride home at 3:30 p.m.
- There will be a meeting for current members of PopStars on Tuesday, Sept. 7th. If you were in PopStars last year, please be at this meeting or see Ms. Salviati if you cannot attend.
- The Strategy Games Club will have its first meeting of the year on Wednesday, Sept. 8th at 7:15 in room 298. All interested middle school students are invited to attend.
- The first Art Club meeting will be held in room 272 (the 8th grade art room) after school on Sept. 8th
For the school year 2010-2011 LMS will be reading the book Schooled by Gordon Korman. Every staff member as well as every student will read and discuss the book before Mr. Korman arrives to speak to each grade level. Feel free to enjoy the read yourself this summer and share some of your 60’s memories. If this was before your time, this could be an opportunity to share some poignant discussions with your child about middle school memories and the challenges of growing up.

Middle Years: Working Together for School Success. This is a newsletter to communicate with parents and get them more involved in their students education. We hope you find this useful. We will update on a regular basis with the monthly newsletter and other topics of interest.
Open House is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 7th at 7:00 p.m. Come meet your child's team and learn about the trip to Washington, DC! If you are unable to attend, DC packets will be sent home with your student the following day.
Thursday, Sept. 2nd
- There will be no soccer, no cross country, no "M" field hockey
- The "L" field hockey scrimmage with Windham is still on
- Attention golfers . . . this year's intramural golf league will be starting on Wednesday, Sept. 8th. Sign-ups are beginning now. If you are interested, please see Mr. Huston in the gym for information and a sign-up form. The league is open to the first 24 golfers who bring in their signed form and a check to Mr. Huston. If you have any questions, see him in the gymnasium.
