Grading Policy

LATE HOMEWORK:
Homework that we go over and correct in class on the due day will receive a zero.

Work not handed in on the due date is considered late. Late work can be handed in within 5 days of the due date for a maxiumum of 60% of the assignment value. Work more than 5 days late will receive a zero.

SUPPLIES required for this class:

  • 2" 3-ring binder with college rule loose leaf paper
    (This binder will be used as a journal, notebook, and lab book. You will be turning in and adding papers to it daily. Hence a spiral notebook or other bound notebook would not be appropriate.)
  • Pencil and pen
  • HIGHLIGHTERS - at least three different colors (preferably yellow, pink, and orange - they're easier to read through)

You can use X2 to see detailed assignment information and learn which assignments are completed, which assignments are missing and more. Just follow these steps:

  1. Go to https://x2.londonderry.org
  2. Click on the tab at the top labeled “Academics”
  3. Click on the course name for the correct term/semester. For example, click on "CP Biology" to see second semester information for CP Biology.
  4. On the left hand side of the screen, click on “Assignments”.
  5. To discover detailed assignment information, click on an individual assignment.

FINAL EXAMS AND FINAL SEMESTER GRADES NOW AVAILABLE

     2. Click on the top tab "Family"

     3. Click on the left side click on "Transcripts" and for more information click under Transcripts marked "Details"

  • P = “Pass”. Student has scored a D- or higher on the indicated assignment and has, therefore, passed this competency.
  • F = “Fail”. Student has not scored a D- or higher on the indicated assignment and has not passed this competency.

 

Student Absence and Make-Up Work 

If a student is absent, he/she should:

  • refer to the LHS student handbook (page 11) for the make-up work policy
  • contact Mrs. Halloran for adjusted due dates and assignment information
