Grading Policy

LATE HOMEWORK:
Homework that we go over and correct in class on the due day will receive a zero.
Work not handed in on the due date is considered late. Late work can be handed in within 5 days of the due date for a maxiumum of 60% of the assignment value. Work more than 5 days late will receive a zero.

SUPPLIES required for this class:

2" 3-ring binder with college rule loose leaf paper
(This binder will be used as a journal, notebook, and lab book. You will be turning in and adding papers to it daily. Hence a spiral notebook or other bound notebook would not be appropriate.)
Pencil and pen
HIGHLIGHTERS - at least three different colors (preferably yellow, pink, and orange - they're easier to read through)

Go to https://x2.londonderry.org
Click on the tab at the top labeled “Academics”
Click on the course name for the correct term/semester. For example, click on "CP Biology" to see second semester information for CP Biology.
On the left hand side of the screen, click on “Assignments”.
To discover detailed assignment information, click on an individual assignment.

Date Assigned/Date Due - For any given assignment, the date assigned and date due refer to to the beginning/ending dates for a specific assignment. See "CP Biology" or "CP Freshman Science" blue tabs for detailed assignment information, links to grading criteria and more.

AA	Absent when assigned – can get full credit if student turns in assignment within agreed upon time period	0 = zero
AB	Absent on due date – must turn in on day student returns to LHS	0 = zero
MI	Missing – student did not turn in or complete assignment. If late work is accepted for this assignment a numerical grade will replace the MI code.	0 = zero
IN	Incomplete – student did not finish assignment	0 = zero
EX	Excused – student was excused from this assignment. No numerical value is associated with this code.	no score
OP	Optional – no penalty for students who do not complete this. No numerical value is associated with this code.	no score
BG	Being graded – Student has submitted the assignment and teacher is in process of grading the assignment. No numerical value is associated with this code.	no score yet
P	Student has passed the competency assessment	Calculated into quarter grade
F	Student has failed the competency assessment	Calculated into quarter grade

P = “Pass”. Student has scored a D- or higher on the indicated assignment and has, therefore, passed this competency.
F = “Fail”. Student has not scored a D- or higher on the indicated assignment and has not passed this competency.
