Summer School

This summer, Londonderry High School will be offering summer school to help students recover credits that they did not earn during the school year. If your child failed a core course, it is recommended that they attend the summer school program to gain the credits necessary to continue toward earning their diploma.

The summer school program will be held at LHS from July 1 to July 31, 2009, five days per week (Monday through Friday). There will be two sessions of instruction each day (8:00 AM – 10:00 AM and 10:15 AM – 12:15 PM), Classes will be offered in the core subject areas including Algebra, Geometry, English, World History, U.S. History and Civics and Economics as well as Wellness. Students may register for one or both sessions. The cost is $125.00 per class. Full and partial scholarships have been approved by the School Board for students who qualify for free and reduced lunch program services. Registration deadline is June 19, 2009. Transportation will be provided home each day at 12:15 P.M. Students are responsible for getting to school on their own in the morning. For more information, contact House 3 Administrative Assistant, Cynthia Panarello, (432-6941 x2128) or Assistant Principal Greg Warren, (432-6941 x2130) at Londonderry High School.

This course is offered as an alternative to traditional summer school options and provides an opportunity for the participants to earn ½ credit in Reading and ½ credit in Life Skills / Study Skills. The program will be held at LHS from July 1 to July 31, 2009, five days per week (Monday through Friday). The hours of the program are from 8:00 AM to 12:15 PM. Alternative Ed. Classes

LHS will offer courses on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons/evenings during first and second semesters. This a tuition program that will assist students who need additional credits to graduate. Students participating in this program will be on one of two academic paths toward a high school diploma. Those who wish to remain in our day program and earn the 24 credit LHS diploma may take night classes and apply those grades/credits to the day program. Students who seek a 20 credit Adult Education diploma, in consult with their parents, would withdraw from school and transfer into the Adult Education program. These individuals will be night school students who will apply previous credits earned toward this diploma. Students/parents from Londonderry and surrounding towns will meet with the guidance department and the program director to map out an academic course of action. All students, and their parents, who are behind in credits will be contacted to discuss options for the upcoming semester. There will be a fee of $125 per course. If you have any questions or concerns, you may contact Greg Warren(House 3 Assist. Principal & Director of Alternate Educational Services) at 432-6941 ext.2130 or email at our contact page
