LHS will offer courses on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons/evenings during first and second semesters. This a tuition program that will assist students who need additional credits to graduate. Students participating in this program will be on one of two academic paths toward a high school diploma. Those who wish to remain in our day program and earn the 24 credit LHS diploma may take night classes and apply those grades/credits to the day program. Students who seek a 20 credit Adult Education diploma, in consult with their parents, would withdraw from school and transfer into the Adult Education program. These individuals will be night school students who will apply previous credits earned toward this diploma. Students/parents from Londonderry and surrounding towns will meet with the guidance department and the program director to map out an academic course of action. All students, and their parents, who are behind in credits will be contacted to discuss options for the upcoming semester. There will be a fee of $125 per course. If you have any questions or concerns, you may contact Jason Parent(House 3 Assist. Principal & Director of Alternate Educational Services) at 432-6941 ext.2130 or email at jparent@londonderry.org
We offer the practice and official tests Monday / Wednesday / Friday from 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM Tuesday / Thursday from 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM. GED Prep / Tutorial will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM for $50.
The Practice Test will be required before taking the Official GED Test. The practice test is $15 and official test is $65. For more information, please contact Paula Doucette (House 3 Admin. Asst.) at ext. 2128.
Londonderry High School will begin its fifth year offering a regional summer school program for students in grades nine through twelve. The summer school program shares the same philosophy as our Adult Education Program, offering students who are behind in credits and at-risk of not graduating on time an extension to their school year where they can gain additional credits. A variety of classes are offered in this five-week summer program. There will be twelve certified teachers on staff who will work with approximately 120 students who failed a required course during the school year.
Students may register for one or two classes, with a tuition rate of $125 per class, and earn a half credit for each class passed. Checks are payable to: Londonderry School District, with scholarships available for Londonderry students who qualify for free or reduced lunch programs. No refunds will be given after July 5, 2007.
To meet state and local attendance guidelines, students may only accrue two absences in the program. All students must also adhere to the Londonderry School District behavior standards while in the summer program. After school bussing will be provided from Londonderry High School for all students.
The high school will be mailing registration forms home to all LHS students who are in danger of failing a course we will offer this summer, in mid-May. Informational packets will also be available in each House Office or in the Main Office. For more information, families should contact Jason Parent (LHS) at 432-6941 ext 2130.
