Dear Parents, Guardians and Students;
Welcome to the Londonderry School District Lunch Program. The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) began in 1946 after an investigation into the health of young men rejected from the WW II draft showed a connection between a physical deficiency and childhood malnutrition. Congress enacted the NSLP to safeguard the health and well-being of the nation's children. It is a proven fact that well-nourished children perform better in school and have higher test scores. Today the NSLP provides over 6 billion healthful meals a year to children throughout the United States.
Our objective is to serve the highest quality food available to our students and meet the requirements established for all schools participating in the NSLP.
- The minimum requirements are as follows:
- 2 oz Protein (daily)
- 3/4 Cup - 1 Cup Fruit and or Vegetable (daily)
- 12 - 15 Servings Grains (per week)
- 1 Cup Fluid Milk (daily)
While meeting these requirements we incorporate a well-rounded variety of foods low in fat, saturated fat, salt and added sugars. School lunches are an excellent value at $1.25 (elementary), $1.50 (middle and high) and $1.75 (premium lunch at middle and high). Every student has a lunch account and uses a lunch card to pay for lunches. Our computer program is designed to run with cards to provide accurate records for the NSLP and to maximize efficiency and speed in serving your child. We appreciate your cooperation by having students deposit their lunch money into their account on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Envelopes with your child’s name can be turned into the teacher (at Elementary) in the morning for speedy service at lunch time. Students at the Middle School and High School can bring the deposit directly to the cafeteria before school and between classes in the morning before 9:00 A.M.
Please be aware that periodically menu changes are necessary. They are announced in school the previous day. When snow days occur, we serve the food we would have served on the snow day, then skip a day.
Sincerely;
Nancy Faucon,
Food Service Director

- Click on SELECT next to one of the kids names, you are now in the PARTICIPANT RECORD
- Observe that there are three sections, each conclude with SUBMIT
- Section 1 allows you to set spending limits, which you may need to use for your children. This is not recommended for elementary school students
- Section 2 TRANSACTIONS allows you to see every transaction that has been charged against your children's account.
In this section, you see a date range that can be changed for a different length of time by just keeping the same format.- Click on submit and you will be prompted to download some Active X software. Say yes or ok.
- You will get kicked out of the program so just log back on remembering to type in your full email address as the user ID and your new password.
- Go back to the PARTICIPANT RECORD, click on submit under the TRANSACTIONS section of the record and you will be prompted to download a Crystal Reports Viewer. These softwares are necessary to see the transactions, take only seconds to download, and you will not have to do it each time you want to view the transaction log. Once this second software has been downloaded you should be able to view the transactions against your child's account.
- You can also view your other children's transactions now by simply using you back button and then clicking on select next to the child's name.
- The third section is where you can make deposits via the internet using your credit card. I always advise parents when they use this feature, they will be charged a $1.50 transaction fee for each transaction they place.
If you need further assistance I am always at my desk between the hours of 1 and 3 in the afternoon.
