Londonderry is committed to providing the very best educational environment for our students and teachers. Londonderry School District provides opportunities for teachers to pursue professional improvement and enhance teaching skills through generous tuition-reimbursement programs and paid, school-sponsored workshops. With many extra-curricular activities, teachers have the opportunity to serve as advisors and coaches. We pride ourselves on our excellent teaching staff. Our schools have an outstanding reputation including receipt of the National School Library Media Program of the Year 2000 and ongoing recognition of the acclaimed Lancers Marching Band and Color Guard.

What programs of study are available for students?
Londonderry School District provides a continuum of educational opportunities for students: enrichment programs at the elementary and middle schools advanced placement and concurrent enrollment courses at the high school, both of which enable students to earn college credits prior to high school graduation special education services available in grades K-12
What is the Londonderry Community like?
Londonderry is a rapidly-growing suburban community of 24,000 residents located approximately 12 miles from the Massachusetts border, less than one hour from Boston, the seacoast and the White Mountains. A popular residential community because of its ideal location, Londonderry has a reputation for excellent schools. Its residents attempt to maintain the rural flavor of the town, which is dotted with apple orchards and lovely homes. The community has demonstrated its support for schools through various fundraising and volunteer activities. The focus of the community is on its young people and their welfare.

When is Parent Teacher Conference day? How do I schedule an individual conference?
Parent Teacher Conference Day is held in November (see calendar.) To schedule an individual conference at any other time, you may call the teacher’s voice mail or send email and request a conference, or you may call your student’s counselor to arrange a conference.

How does my student obtain a parking permit?

What is the date for Graduation and Baccalaureate?
Baccalaureate is scheduled for Thursday, June 10, 2010.
Graduation is scheduled for Saturday, June 12, 2010.
How do I request transcripts?
For Graduates of Londonderry High School: Call Guidance Office at 432-6941 ext. 2106 and give name, year of graduation and name and address of location where you want the transcript sent. For Current Seniors: You should speak to your counselor about this process. The “Green Sheet” (Transcript Release Form) should be filled out for each college to which a transcript is to be sent.
What information is on the transcript?
Your transcript will include name, address, semester grades, SAT scores, other testing scores and academic achievements.
How are report cards distributed?
Report cards are usually distributed to students during homeroom.
How do I register or withdraw my student?
To register: Call the Guidance Office at 432-6941 ext. 2106 to make an appointment to pick up a registration packet to be filled out. Proof of residency is required (purchase agreement or lease document preferred.) To withdraw: A withdrawal form must be filled out and signed by parents. Students should obtain an Exit Grade Sheet from the Guidance office, return all textbooks to teachers and receive an exit grade from each teacher.
How do I learn about financial aid for college?-
Two Financial Aid Seminars are held each December and January by the Guidance Department. Information is also posted monthly in the Senior Newsletter on the Guidance web page and mailed home to parents of seniors. Financial Aid information is also available online: www.fafsa.ed.gov; www.finaid.com; www.pin.ed.gov; www.nhheaf.org
What are “Parent Mini Courses?” What do they cover?
Eight informational sessions for parents of seniors are held twice monthly in September, October, November, and December on Wednesday from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Topics range from Admissions to the Financial Aid process

What are school hours?
Kindergarten has two sessions. The AM session meets 8:45 - 11:20. The PM session meets 12:30 - 3:05. Supervision begins ten minutes prior to the start of the school day. LEEP meets Monday - Thursday. The AM session meets 8:45 - 11:00. The PM session meets 12:00 - 2:30.
