A Word from the Assistant Superintendent's Office
The Office of Assistant Superintendent supports the district curriculum, professional development of administration and classroom teachers, the Induction Institute for New Teachers, curriculum review, the District Curriculum Coordinating Council (C3), district and state assessment programs, data analysis of assessment data (i.e. Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills Grades K-3, Scott Foresman Reading Streets Unit Benchmark Assessments Grades K-5, Scott Foresman-Addison Wesley Math Chapter Tests Grades 1-5, Prentice Hall Readers Journey Unit Assessments Grade 6, McDougal-Littel Literature/Grammar & Writing Assessments Grade 6, Writing Assessments Grades 6-12, The Iowa Tests of Basic Skills Grades 1-8, The Iowa Tests of Educational Development at Grade 9, New England Common Assessment Program Grades 3-8 and 11), administration of federal Title I, Title IIA, and Title IV Grants, the district employee newsletter - Wings, reading curriculum services, special curriculum services, and extended summer school and summer enrichment services.
